Liberate Your Art My walk with the ‘Liberate Your Art’ postcard swap has come to journey’s end. Liberate was enabled by Kat Sloma www.kateyestudio.com and I received this beautiful postcard image of a blue door a few days ago by way of ‘thank you’ for participating in the swap. The image is very apt as it could be said that Kat was ‘opening doors’. The Fiction Project  Art House Co-op's 'Fiction Project' is now touring to various galleries in the US. It will eventually be publicly available in the Brooklyn Art Library, New York. The theme I chose to interpret was 'I'm a Scavenger' and my book contains images and fictionalised stories of street children/scavengers around the world. 'The Dust of Life' is a translation of the name given to child scavengers in Vietnam. In the book are links to charities which are coming to the aid of street kids. All these links can be found at 'Just Giving'. I ask that, if you can spare the tiniest amount, you will help one tiny street child out of countless trapped into slave labour on dangerous, disease-ridden municipal waste disposal sites. |
